The Harrogate Game & Country Fair is taking place at The Great Yorkshire Showground on Saturday 15th & Sunday 16th August 2009. The Fair is expected to be be a fun day out for the whole family to enjoy. There will be demonstrations taking place throughout the day in the Main Ring and also a separate Lurcher and Terrier Ring. In addition to all that, there will be a wide variety of trade stands and fun activities for the children. We hope to see you there! |

Dancing Dogs Totally unique and astounding, the K9 Freestyle Dancing Dog display is basically One Man and His Dog without the sheep but with music instead!! Top trainer, and Crufts winner, Richard Curtis, shows dogs at different levels of training showing off each dogs character, sometimes with amusing results! |

Falconry Ridgeside Falconry is the largest mobile display team in the Country. Birds of Prey from around the world, including owls, falcons, hawks, eagles and vultures, plus spectacular free flying displays. The highlight of the demonstration is a race between the lurchers and a hawk - they are the only demonstration to offer this amazing spectacle. |

Gun Dogs and Gun Dog Scurry Adrian Slater, a member of the England Gun Dog Team who impressed audiences at Crufts with his marvellous dog handling, will be wowing the crowds with a gun dog demonstration and scurry. |

Long Netting with Ferrets Liam Brinded gives a long netting demonstration. Long netting is used when hunting for rabbits by setting a number of long nets strategically placed in fields close to rabbit warrens. |

Sheep Dogs with Ducks Shepherdess, Sheepdog Trainer and Trial Competitor, Elaine Hill demonstrates the skill, intelligence and flexibility of her Border Collies with her entertaining and educating displays of sheepdog handling and duck herding. |

Clayshooting Why not try your hand at clay pigeon shooting. Top Trap Shooting, suppliers of mobile clay shoots, will have fully qualified CPSA tutors offering tuition to both Shooters and those wishing to try the sport for the first time. |

Chester the Clown Chester the Clown will be making an appearance in the main ring to entertain both the children and the adults and, who knows, maybe even a few of the dog spectators!! |
